Summer School Songs to Enjoy

Summer School Songs to Enjoy

Jean-Paul's choice: Zhen's choice (surpise!): Lee's choice: Sam's choice:

          "Home"

Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
Mmmmmmmm

May be surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
“I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aeroplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky, I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I’ve got to go home

Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
'Cause this was not your dream
But you always believed in me

Another winter day has come
And gone away
In even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home

And I’m surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
Oh, let me go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all be all right
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home

Ding's choice:

Lyrics

You arrive, in the rising sun.
The hidden passenger, that I've been taking.
Close your eyes, let's forget again.
As you drag me down, I will take you in.

What are you waiting for?
Just surrender here tonight.
What are you waiting for,
as we go towards the light?

When everything is said and done,
Still looking for answers, if only one.
Turn my back, the urge has gone.
Left with no reason, we come undone.

I am caught, in your slow release,
seems like your traveler's, eager to move me
My reflection, will slowly fade
to another time until my head escapes

What are you waiting for?
Just surrender here tonight.
What are you waiting for,
as we go towards the light?

When everything is said and done,
Still looking for answers, if only one.
Turn my back, the urge has gone.
Left with no reason, we come undone.

Grace's choice:

Lrics:

The sun goes down
The stars come out
And all that counts
Is here and now
My universe will never be the same
I'm glad you came

You cast a spell on me, spell on me
You hit me like the sky fell on me, fell on me
And I decided you look well on me, well on me
So let's go somewhere no-one else can see, you and me

Turn the lights out now
Now I'll take you by the hand
Hand you another drink
Drink it if you can
Can you spend a little time,
Time is slipping away from us so stay,
Stay with me I can make,
Make you glad you came

The sun goes down
The stars come out
And all that counts
Is here and now
My universe will never be the same
I'm glad you came
I'm glad you came

You cast a spell on me, spell on me
You hit me like the sky fell on me, fell on me
And I decided you look well on me, well on me
So let's go somewhere no-one else can see, you and me

Turn the lights out now
Now I'll take you by the hand
Hand you another drink
Drink it if you can
Can you spend a little time,
Time is slipping away from us so stay,
Stay with me I can make,
Make you glad you came

The sun goes down
The stars come out
And all that counts
Is here and now
My universe will never be the same
I'm glad you came
I'm glad you came

I'm glad you came
So glad you came
I'm glad you came
I'm glad you came

The sun goes down
The stars come out
And all that counts
Is here and now
My universe will never be the same
I'm glad you came
I'm glad you came

Employment: Finding the right job for you

WHICH JOB SHOULD I DO IN THE FUTURE?

You will do a quiz to find out which jobs might suit you:

http://www2.careers.govt.nz/tools/careerquest/questionnaire/#questionId=58

  • You might get many results - you can use the "filter" on the right to cut down the number.

  • Choose five jobs from the final list that interest you and write them on your sheet.

  • Now look at NZ's top job search website to find out how much money you can earn in each job. Write down the minimum, average, and miximum salary next to each job on your worksheet.

BUILD YOUR OWN CV

You will create your own CV using the special software.

1. First, make a list of your skills. Watch this video for ideas. Take notes as you watch.
